Regular bosses appear at 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, 12:00 and 15:00. They are strong non-legendary Pokémon, not rift legendaries. Each has four telegraphed attacks, alternates close and far range, and enrages below 50% HP. A boss drops coins, one held item, a large experience orb and has a 1/3 chance of a ×10 ticket.

Boss schedule
A full run has five regular boss slots. They spawn at 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, 12:00 and 15:00. The boss is chosen from strong non-legendary Pokémon by a power band; legendaries only appear in rifts and the Arceus event.
| Time | HP | Damage | Experience | Base stat band |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3:00 | 1,400 | 34 | 220 | 490–545 |
| 6:00 | 3,200 | 42 | 420 | 520–580 |
| 9:00 | 5,600 | 48 | 680 | 540–600 |
| 12:00 | 9,000 | 56 | 1,000 | 580–700 |
| 15:00 | 16,000 | 68 | 1,800 | 600–700 |
The boss is not guaranteed to be the same species in every run. It is picked from the eligible band, so the attack set can differ. The schedule and scaling are fixed; the species is not.
HP and damage scaling
The HP jump from 1,400 to 16,000 is the main difficulty curve. A build that clears the 3:00 boss can still lack the single-target damage for the 12:00 or 15:00 slot. The damage values are the boss’s base combat values; enrage and attack multipliers can raise the actual hit.
Do not judge a build only by horde clear. A wide area build can look strong until a boss with thousands of HP appears. Keep one move that puts its damage on a single target. The build guide explains the single-target template.
Four attacks and enrage
Bosses and legendaries have four telegraphed attacks. They alternate between closing in and fighting at range, staying longer in their preferred distance. The attacks are marked on the ground before they land. Move out of the shape, not just away from the boss sprite.
Below 50% HP, the boss enrages: it moves faster, waits less between attacks, and can chain two attacks. The enrage is a threshold, not a timer. Burst damage that crosses 50% quickly can shorten the dangerous phase; slow damage gives the boss more enraged time.
The attack set includes close attacks such as a slam, dash or leap, and ranged patterns such as a volley, beam, nova or rain. The exact set depends on the boss species and its behavior. Do not assume every boss has the same four moves.
Drops and ticket chance
A regular boss drops 10 coin pickups, one held item, a large experience orb and has a 1/3 chance of a ×10 ticket. It does not guarantee a ×10 ticket. A community claim that every boss gives a ×10 is not supported by the current pickup code.
The held item choice matters. If the boss drops an item you do not need, keep the current one. The held items guide compares the trade-offs. The gacha guide lists every ticket source.
Boss vs rift legendary
| Regular boss | Rift legendary |
|---|---|
| Spawns on the map at 3/6/9/12/15. | Spawns from a portal on its own 30-second check. |
| Strong non-legendary species. | One of the 87 legendaries. |
| Fought in the normal map. | Fought in a separate type arena. |
| Drops coins, item, XP and a 1/3 ×10 chance. | Grants a bond, coins, 3 normal tickets and a 1/2 ×10 chance. |
| No bond. | Bond on win; loss returns to the map. |
Both use the same four-attack and enrage language, but they are separate systems. A guide that calls a rift legendary a “boss” may be using the word loosely. Check the reward and location.
Preparation checklist
- Keep one single-target move. A pure area build loses too much damage on a 16,000 HP boss.
- Save a defensive item. Focus Sash or Assault Vest is more useful than a second damage item when learning the enrage.
- Clear the route before the timer. Do not start a boss inside a closed pocket; pull it toward open ground.
- Watch the ground, not the health bar. The telegraph is the actionable information.
- Do not open a rift at the same time. A rift takes the group away from the map; the boss timer does not wait for a clean overlap.
The survival tips cover target priority and movement. The Arceus guide covers the minute-30 event, which is not a regular boss slot.
