You do not need a download to play PokeSurvivor; the official browser game is at pokesurvivor.com. The author also provides an offline ZIP: unzip it and double-click index.html. The offline version is solo only and saves in your browser. It does not include co-op, cloud saves or leaderboards. There is no released official Android APK.

Browser play
The official guide describes PokeSurvivor as a browser game for PC, tablet and phone. There is no launcher, installer or account download. Open pokesurvivor.com and play; the game can also be installed to a home screen as a web app.
The browser version is the one with online co-op, cloud saves and leaderboards. It is also the version that receives the current balance and event updates. For most players, this is the recommended entry.
The author’s offline ZIP
The author’s itch.io page provides a downloadable ZIP. The instructions are to unzip it and double-click index.html. The GitHub README gives the same instruction and notes that the game is stored in .js files because fetch is blocked on file://.
The offline version is solo only. It saves in your browser, not in the cloud. Co-op, cloud saves and leaderboards are online features and are not included. The save guide explains the local storage limit.
Offline setup
- Download the author’s ZIP from the official itch.io page.
- Unzip it into a folder you can find again.
- Double-click index.html. The game opens in your default browser.
- Do not clear site data if you want to keep the local save.
If index.html opens a file:// page but the game does not start, try a current Chrome, Edge or Firefox. The README notes that the offline package avoids fetch by storing data in .js files, so a missing file is usually a broken unzip, not a network problem.
Online vs offline features
| Feature | Browser at pokesurvivor.com | Offline ZIP |
|---|---|---|
| Play | Yes | Yes |
| Online co-op | Up to 4 players | No |
| Cloud save | Yes, with an account | No; browser local storage |
| Leaderboards | Yes | No |
| Current updates | Live build | Whatever version the ZIP contains |
| Install | Home-screen web app | Local folder |
The offline build can lag the live build. If a guide mentions a recent feature and the offline game does not have it, check the browser version before treating it as a bug. The troubleshooting guide covers missing features on copy sites.
APK and copy sites
There is no released official Android APK. APKPure has a pre-register page with “COMING SOON,” which is not a download. A third-party APK is a repackage, not the author’s client. Do not enter an official account into one.
Miniplay and Game Jolt host or link copies. They are not the official account authority. The only official website is pokesurvivor.com; the author’s itch.io page and GitHub repository are official creator pages. A copy site can have older content or a separate database.
Official links and safe download
Use the author’s itch.io page for the ZIP and the GitHub repository for source. Do not download from a site that asks for payment, account credentials or a “modded” APK. The game is free and non-commercial; a paid copy is not official.
If a download page asks you to disable your browser’s security or install a helper, close it. The offline package is a folder with index.html, not an installer. The GitHub guide explains the source tree and license.
