PokeSurvivor Type Chart

Use the full PokeSurvivor type chart with ×1.6, ×0.6 and ×0.3 multipliers, dual-type caps and weather effects.

The chart is the official in-game table checked 22 October 2026. It is a softened chart, not the main-series Pokémon chart.

PokeSurvivor uses ×1.6 for super effective, ×0.6 for not very effective and ×0.3 for an immunity softened into resistance. Two types multiply and the result is capped at ×2.4. The chart works both ways: your attacks against enemies and their attacks against you. Weather adds a separate multiplier; it is not part of the type chart.

The three multipliers

The official chart describes itself as the main-series chart “softened for a survivor game.” A super-effective hit is ×1.6, a resisted hit is ×0.6, and an immunity becomes ×0.3. A neutral hit is ×1.0 and is left blank in the table below.

The softened immunity is important. A Ghost move against a Normal-type is not zero damage; it is ×0.3. A Ground move against a Flying-type is also ×0.3. You can still chip a resistant target, but it is a poor use of the active slot.

Dual types and the cap

When the defender has two types, multiply the two values. The official page caps the result at ×2.4. For example, a Fire hit against a Grass/Steel target combines two super-effective values and stops at ×2.4. The table below shows single-type values; combine the two defending-type cells and stop at the cap.

The chart is the type multiplier. Do not add a same-type bonus from the partner’s typing; the table and the available move data describe the type multiplier separately.

It works both ways

Enemies use the same chart against you. Their attacks use their first listed type, and bosses use the same rule. A partner with a double weakness can take ×2.4 from a common enemy type. That is why a 97 HP partner can die quickly even with a high speed stat.

Rows are the attacking type; columns are the defending type. The first row is Normal, then Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Steel and Fairy.

Rows attack; columns defend. The full names are in the row and column headers.

Weather is separate

WeatherType effectOther effect
Harsh sunFire ×1.5; Water ×0.5No chip damage.
RainWater ×1.5; Electric ×1.2; Fire ×0.5No chip damage.
SandstormRock, Ground and Steel ×1.3Other types lose 1.2% max HP every 2 seconds (never lethal).
SnowfallIce ×1.5Other types lose 1.2% max HP every 2 seconds and move 10% slower.
FogGhost, Fairy and Psychic ×1.3No chip damage.

Weather is applied after the type chart. It is not a replacement for type coverage. The weather guide covers timing, biome weighting and co-op control.

How to use it in a run

  1. Identify the current wave’s type. If you cannot see it, use the enemy sprite and the damage numbers as a clue.
  2. Switch to a super-effective move. ×1.6 is a meaningful difference, especially on a boss.
  3. Do not switch into a resisted move just because it is your highest-level attack. A maxed move at ×0.6 can be worse than a lower-level coverage move at ×1.6.
  4. Check the defender’s second type. A dual type can turn a super-effective hit into neutral or resisted.
  5. Check weather. Rain can make a Water move better and a Fire move worse in the same fight.

The build guide explains how to keep coverage in four slots. The Pokédex lists each partner’s typing so you can see its defensive weaknesses.

Quick answers

What are the type multipliers in PokeSurvivor?

Super effective is ×1.6, not very effective is ×0.6, and an immunity is softened to ×0.3. Neutral is ×1.0.

How do dual types work?

Multiply the two type values. The result is capped at ×2.4. The chart is the type multiplier; do not add a same-type bonus.

Does the type chart apply to enemy attacks?

Yes. The same chart works in both directions, so your partner’s weaknesses matter defensively.

Is weather part of the type chart?

No. Weather adds a separate multiplier after the chart; for example, rain boosts Water ×1.5 and weakens Fire ×0.5.
